Debbie Clifton lives in Nebraska with her AKK at Heartland's Huskies in the southeast part of the state in a small community. Debbie is a breeder/friend of mine who has guided me immensely with the well-being of my AKK. I highly recommend Debbie in the event I have no puppies available.

Here is what Debbie has to say about her kennel:

We started with our first AKK in August of 2003, and once I got my first AKK, it was like eating potato chips; I couldn't stop with just one.  The AKK are highly intelligent, funny, cuddlely, perfect lap-size huskies, and a very devoted breed, a true pleasure and honor to have in one's household.

All my Alaskan Klee Kai are registered with UKC, and the ones that are old enough to be shown, have acquired their GrandChampion title.  Showing my dogs not only has helped to continue developing their social skills, but I find how judges judge them compared to the Alaskan Klee Kai Standards, and also against other AKK.  Three of our gang were in UKC's Top Ten in 2004, 2005, and 2007. 

We raise our puppies in our home from birth until they leave for their new home. They are hand-held, played with, and have much interacting with my other AKK. They are kept up‑to‑date on their de-worming and shots, and have more than one health check-up from a licensed Veterinarian until they leave.  It is important to me that my puppies go to a loving and caring home with the same attention continuing.

We chose the name "Heartland's Huskies" for the fact that we are located in the Heart of the U.S.A. and we have such a Heart for the Husky breed.  My dogs are my life and are very much house dogs.  When I'm not home, they have their large heated kennels with large dog runs.  They also have their large spacious yard to run and play in when I'm at home, which is where you will probably find me enjoying their company when I get off work if you happen to pop in for a visit.
